Albertosaurus

Name: Albertosaurus
Type: Meat eater, killer/predator
Lived When: Late Cretaceous (75 million years ago)
Weight: 3 tons
Height: 11 feet tall
Length: 30 feet long
Weapons: Powerful jaws with sharp teeth; powerful claws on hid legs, brute strength and size
Diet: Plant eaters
Habitat: Forests of western North America
Interesting Facts: With its tiny front arms, the Albertosaurus was similar to the T-Rex, but about half its size. It was still plenty huge and fierce, though. Scientists believe it may have hunted in packs, which would have made even the strongest plant eaters at risk from this 3-ton giant
