Type: Meat eater, killer/predator
Lived When: Early Jurassic, 200 million years ago
Weight: About 990 pounds
Height: 5 feet (at hips)
Length: Up to 20 feet
Weapons: Sharp teeth, clawed hands, hunted in packs

Interesting Facts: Scientists don’t know why dilophosaurus had two bony crests on its head. They weren’t strong enough to be used as weapons. They think they may have been used by males to attract females (yuck!)

Dilophosaurus could outrun most dinosaurs that were alive at the same time, and could have ripped them apart with the claws on its feet (cool!)
